Advocacy

An advocate is a person who argues for a cause – a supporter or defender.

To advocate is to act in support of a particular issue or cause.
When people become knowledgeable about issues and the decision making process, they are empowered to get involved and act.

Success of a health education program, maintenance of funding, and utilization of qualified, certified health education professionals can be greatly enhanced by advocacy.
