YOU can!
You just need to be committed to school health education. Too
often, people who work with and for youth do not see themselves
as appropriate advocates because they are not lobbyists. In fact,
staff of youth-serving and community-based agencies, teachers,
health care professionals, parents and teenagers can be articulate
and compelling advocates for school health education programs.
First-hand experience in helping young people build skills, education
and motivation to make responsible choices about their health
provides a remarkable body of expertise that can, and should be,
more available to the policymakers.
